JAKARTA: Indonesia says neither the planned dates or locations of a number of scheduled international conferences will be altered despite WHO raising the status of the swine flu outbreak to Phase V.
The government has not changed the schedule or location of international conferences to take place in Indonesia, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said in Jakarta on Friday.
Indonesia will host two international conferences in May, namely the Asian Development Bank (ADB)'s annual meeting in Bali and the World Ocean Conference (WOC) in Manado, North Sulawesi, which will be attended by delegates from 121 countries.
However, Teuku said, the Indonesian government would continue to follow the developments of the swine flu outbreak and information from the World Health Organization (WHO). - JP
